Upper Thames Basin - Collaborative Watershed Project

This collaboration led by The Nature Conservancy/Nature United and FoodBridge aims to unlock new progress on water quality, climate resilience, and biodiversity in Ontario’s Great Lakes region by changing how sustainable farm practices are supported and rewarded. The project is working to build place-based, farmer-led coalitions that connect science, funding, and agri-food value-chain actors to overcome fragmented incentives and stalled adoption. By strengthening peer networks, targeting practices using science-based tools, and creating innovative value propositions for farmers and their advisors, this initiative seeks to deliver measurable environmental outcomes that strengthen the resilience of Ontario’s agri-food system.
